HE MAY WALK evening proved fine and dry, and Val accompanied a small but enthusiastic party to Chatsworth Park, where we rambled along the banks of the Derwent. How delightful to enjoy the spacious green acres, for once empty of tourists and their vehicles. Except for the odd flock of sheep and herd of dairy cows, the occasional estate wagon and four dog walkers, we had the place more or less to ourselves. Thank you, Val for once again handing us pastures new to experience. Needless to say the bevy and the chips, were most welcome, after our exertions

The July meeting is our Bring and Share Supper at Ranger Cottage, following the AGM. Usual arrangements apply. WE meet on the Market Place at 6.30, to travel in private cars. Please contact Carolyn to inform her whether you are bringing a savoury or sweet dish. Usual Third Tuesday July 21st
